Maggie’s Thought’s

• Mom pulled a slick move when she told the senior citizens in front of us “something “ - (I don’t know what) - and they failed to return to their car for the loading of the ferry. We got their parking spot on the ferry, and it was the last one. Eddi • Dad heard the man say if the pickup would not fit in the remaining space on the ferry we would have to wait for the next one. Dad parked across 2 lanes at the very end, and the doors closed less that an inch from us. Maggie • I thought it was a 4 day tournament since we left Thursday and planned to return Tuesday. Friday, I found myself locked in the Motel room while dad was out site seeing. I decided to rebel. Dad returned quickly to the motel from downtown Victoria. Casper • I heard that Mom, Patty and John had “shooters” for lunch at the restaurant. What???? Fat Ruby • Why do we always encounter the “hot days of summer” when we travel to Canada for tournaments? Where are the promised 74-degree days? Rani\ • Saturday morning we lined up and gave our best effort. The next thing I heard was that we were kicked out of the tournament. What did they mean we ran too fast – it was a race!!! Acorn • Did you all notice there were no little white dogs running all over the course interrupting the races. Finally, I have been successful cleaning up this sport. Casper • I decided it was time for me to establish some rules about travel so I kicked Maggie’s butt at the motel. Tesse |

• Taylor, when are you going with me again? I am tired of training
Papa and Grammy. Even though Grammy ran me, I was able to get a triple
zero start. Annie • Mom put that wax on my feet and all it did was stink and embarrass me. I ended up with a blister. Sure hope she goes back to using the spray that smells like hotcake syrup. Eddi • I thought that box judge was wearing a fancy perfume. Mom was not impressed when I investigated during the next heat. Parker • Who came up with the team name of Pawsable Confusion? We weren’t confused – we ran very well and placed 1st. Lacey • I felt something between my toes and it turned out to be a large piece of hard candy. I am glad that I was not bunked with Fat Ruby. She may have eaten my foot trying to get the candy. Maggie • As usual the selection of the victory dinner locations were a challenge. Sunday, our rudderless handlers went to several locations before landing several miles up the coast at a seafood restaurant. They were even denied at one place because of there attire!!! Jeffy • And how about Saturday night? The phone rang at the Motel. Several handlers were being held hostage at the restaurant because Dad had allegedly not paid the bill. Dad found Mom’s purse in the room, ran down the hallway, out the door, across the parking lot, over the freeway pedestrian overpass, and into the restaurant to show the receipt. And to top it all off, at least 8 Canadian Mounted Police were having supper there. Why didn’t he take only the receipt to the restaurant and save me from the embarrassment of my Dad running with Mom’s purse all the way back to the restaurant? Lacey • Why did Seth complain about being tired? All he did was run 10 ft with me to the starting line then wait for me to run a 122 ft course with a ball in my mouth. CJ • Any box setter can tell the difference between Annie and me. Next time remember that Annie gets a small ball and I get a large one. Parker |

• Damn, it was hot up there!!!! But Studs like me still perform at
extraordinary levels. Come on you wimps - suck it up!!! Dexter • Did anyone see Dad panic when I tried dock diving off the ferry on our trip home? My tail still hurts. Lacey • An event free trip to Victoria and almost the same on the way home until we stopped at Monroe for fuel. Mom and Deb offered to go to Starbucks and get the coffee lovers a cool drink. I thought that was a nice gesture. After returning to the station, she stopped in the middle of the driveway and passed out the drinks. Sure backed up traffic trying to get gas. I loved it!!!! Eddi What a great time we had and the results weren’t bad. Saturday the Miracles would have placed 1st, in division 5, if they hadn’t broke out. And Pawsable Confusion places 1st in division 3. Sunday the Miracles placed 1st in division 5 and Pawsable Confusion ran out of energy and ended up 3rd in division 3. Buster, Scrappy, Holly and Pandy hurry back. Things just aren’t the same without you. Let’s go Flyballing soon!!!!!!!!! |
